56,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience (Plus a benefit allowance of 1,300 per annum)

The role of Head of Conduct Assessment sits within the Professional Conduct Department.  The post holder will be responsible for managing and overseeing the initial assessment of complaints, and other information, about the conduct of barristers and those we regulate in order to determine whether issues should be referred for consideration of enforcement action.

Managing a team of five people and acting as part of the management team of the Professional Conduct Department, the successful candidate will be a legally qualified self-starter with knowledge of regulation and experience of managing high volume casework.

We are looking for someone who can cope under pressure, juggle competing priorities, provide high quality legal advice as well as manage a team effectively to ensure excellent customer service and performance in line with the KPIs.

To be considered for this role applicants must be legally qualified i.e. capable of holding a practising certificate either in England and Wales or another similar common law jurisdiction.
