Join us for this remote seminar where we’ll be exploring issues arising from conduct outside practice, including cases involving sexual misconduct.
Speakers:
John Gould (Partner, Russell-Cooke LLP). John Gould is the long-standing Senior Partner of Russell-Cooke LLP and author of The Law of Legal Services and Practice (Lexis Nexis), now in its second edition. He was a member of the Advisory Panel for the Mayson Independent Review of Legal Services Regulation and has been published extensively in journals in relation to regulation and public law. He has acted for regulators in numerous high profile and important cases particularly, but by no means exclusively, in relation to legal regulation. Recently he has been acting for a range of large firms in cases involving allegations of lack of integrity and sexual misconduct.
Michael Stacey (Partner, Russell-Cooke LLP). Michael Stacey is a Partner of Russell-Cooke LLP and contributor to The Law of Legal Services (Lexis Nexis). His particular specialism is regulatory and public law. He is ranked in Chambers and Legal 500 for Professional Discipline. Before training and qualifying with Russell-Cooke, he was a civil servant at the Ministry of Justice and worked at the Legal Services Board on developing the framework for regulating alternative business structures and on workforce development in the legal services sector. He acts for regulators, firms and individual professionals, including in a number of cases concerning alleged sexual harassment.

Iain Miller (Partner, Kingsley Napley LLP). Iain is a former Chair of ARDL and a Partner in Kingsley Napley LLP. Iain has practised in regulation for over 20 years with a particular emphasis on legal regulation and public law. He has acted for most of the legal services regulators and acts for law firms and solicitors advising them on their regulatory obligations.
