This webinar will focus on workplace culture and wellbeing in the legal profession, reflecting upon the SRA’s recent rule change in respect of treating colleagues fairly and with respect and challenging counter-inclusive behaviours. It will discuss how firms can encourage a workplace environment conducive to wellbeing, the steps they can take to identify and manage the risks, and the SRA’s expectations in respect of reporting concerns.

Juliet Oliver is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and General Counsel at the Solicitors Regulation Authority. She leads the organisation’s investigation and enforcement function, as well as its dedicated anti money laundering directorate and thematic work. She is a non-executive board member at the Professional Standards Authority, the oversight regulator for the healthcare professions.

Lucinda Soon is a legal director at Kingsley Napley specialising in legal services regulation. Alongside her practice, she is a doctoral researcher in organisational psychology at Birkbeck, University of London, where she researches workplace culture and wellbeing in the legal profession. She is also a trustee for LawCare, the mental wellbeing charity for the UK legal profession.
